Nokia C12 Plus goes official with a 6.3" screen and 4,000 mAh battery

HMD Global unveiled the entry-level Nokia C12 in January and followed up with a Pro model in March. Now the brand has added a new member to the C12 lineup, dubbed Nokia C12 Plus.

The Nokia C12 Pro is basically the vanilla C12 with a bigger battery (4,000 mAh vs. 3,000 mAh), while C12 Plus is the C12 Pro with a different memory configuration. And that doesn't mean more RAM or storage, but less.

The Nokia C12 Pro comes in 2GB/64GB and 3GB/64GB configurations, but the Nokia C12 Plus comes in a single 2GB/32GB configuration. However, it has a microSD card slot for storage expansion of up to 256GB.

The Nokia C12 Plus is listed on Nokia's Indian website with an unnamed Unisoc octa-core CPU, with four cores having a maximum clock frequency of 1.6Hz. This suggests the Nokia C12 Plus is powered by the same chip as the vanilla and Pro models - SC9863A1.

The rest of the Nokia C12 Plus' highlights include a 6.3" HD+ screen, 8MP rear camera, 5MP front camera, and Android 12 (Go Edition). The smartphone features a 3.5mm headphone jack and sports a microUSB port.

We don't know when the Nokia C12 Plus will go on sale, but we know it's priced at INR7,999 ($100/€90) in India, which is odd since the Nokia C12 Pro with more RAM (3GB) and storage (64GB) costs INR7,499 ($90/€85) in the Asian country. We'll hopefully have more clarity on that when HMD reveals the Nokia C12 Plus' availability details.
