New photo of the Nokia E6 pops up, solves the touchscreen dilema

The rumored Nokia E6 was not unveiled at the MWC 2011, but now we get a new image that answers the important question of whether it's touch-operated or not.

This isn't the first time we see images of the E6 get leaked, but this time around the photo shows the phone running. And by the looks of it, we think there should hardly be any doubts about its touch display.

The first evidence of touch operation are the characteristic smudges across the screen. And secondly, if you look carefully you'll notice the lack of contextual buttons below the "Options" and "Menu" on-screen items.

To further confirm this, on the bottom center of the screen, there are four dots that indicate the presence of more than one homescreen. Let's hope Nokia will offer some decent widgets to fill them all.

So far all the info we have for the Nokia E6 is from a leaked Nokia XML, saying it'll pack a 2.6-inch screen with a resolution of 640x480 pixels (a first for a touch Nokia). The 8MP fixed focus camera was confirmed by the previous series of leaked shots. Symbian^3 seems to be the operating system of choice, but the E6 might as well be a part of the Touch and Type line of S40 Nokia devices though it would be unfitting for the E-series.
