Motorola Tab G70 goes up on Flipkart with an 11" display, Helio G90T chipset
The Motorola Tab G70, which surfaced on the Google Play Console, is real â Indian retailer Flipkart put up a landing page for the slate and even though Motorola.in still makes no mention of the device, we have official confirmation of the most important details.
First, this will be a class above the Tab G70 in terms of screen and performance. That means higher price too, but that detail will have to wait for the proper launch. For comparison, the Tab G20 sells for INR 11,000 at the moment (31% off MSRP).
The G70 has an 11â display with a 15:9 aspect ratio and â2K resolutionâ, which presumably means 2,000 x 1,200 px resolution. The display promises 400 nits of brightness and a Widevine certification to watch high definition content from Netflix and Amazon. Also, there are four speakers with Dolby Atmos support for an immersive audio experience.
If you prefer your entertainment in gaming form, the tablet is powered by the Helio G90T, a 12 nm chipset with two Cortex-A76 cores, six A55s and a Mali-G76 GPU. It will be running pure Android 11 and will come with 64 GB of built-in storage plus a microSD card slot that supports up to 1 TB more. The landing page doesnât list the RAM capacity, but from the benchmarks we know that it is 4 GB.
The Motorola Tab G70 body is made out of an aluminum alloy with a dual tone finish on the back. It has a water repellent design (IP52). Inside is a 7,700 mAh battery that is enough for 15 hours of usage and it supports 20W fast charging.
There are a few details not covered yet, like the price and the camera setup (âbest in classâ says the Flipkart page, 8 MP front and 13 MP back says leakster Abhishek Yadav).
The Tab G70 is expected to launch in India on January 18 (Tuesday next week). Whether it expands to other markets after that is unclear.
Before we go, here is a quick summary of the Tab G20 specs for comparison purposes: 8â 1,280 x 800 px display, Helio P22T, 3/32 GB, 5+2 MP camera, 5,100 mAh battery with 10W charging.
