Motorola Razr 3's price leaks
Motorola is currently busy working on the third generation of its foldable smartphone, which we're tentatively calling Razr 3. This was previously seen in a quick video, and some of its specs were leaked too. But what about pricing?
Thankfully that's out now. A new rumor today coming from a usually reliable source claims that the Razr 3 will cost â¬1,149 in the EU. This means the Razr 3 will be cheaper than the Razr 5G was when it launched in Europe for â¬1,399.
Not just that, but the Razr 3 has also long been rumored to be a proper high-end foldable, so it's cheaper than its predecessor while sporting better specs! That's not something we've seen very often this year, so if this info pans out, it seems pretty exciting.
Then again, the Razr 3's main competitor will obviously be Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Z Flip4, and if that costs the same as its predecessor at launch, it will still be â¬100 cheaper than Motorola's effort. Let's not forget that the Z Flip3 is the best selling foldable ever, until this point, so the Flip4 will have that cachet going for it too in its fight with the Razr.
Anyway, the Razr 3 is said to initially launch in just one color version - Quartz Black. Again that will most likely be in stark contrast to Samsung's Z Flip4, which will probably have multiple color choices.
According to previous rumors, the Razr 3 will have a 6.7" internal screen and a 3" external one - probably matching the Flip4 in the former while massively outshining it in the latter department. The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC is confirmed to run the show, paired with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage (which makes the price difference more bearable compared to the Flip4's entry level model).
