Motorola Moto G 5G (2022) specs and renders leak

Last November, we saw a render of a Motorola smartphone codenamed "Austin," having a centered punch hole display and a triple camera system on the rear headlined by a 50MP camera. Today, we are looking at a set of new renders which not only corroborate Austin's design but also give us our best look yet at it.

These images come courtesy of leakster OnLeaks, who collaborated with Prepp.in and revealed that the marketing name of Motorola Austin is Moto G 5G (2022).

The source also said that the Motorola Moto G 5G (2022) has model code XT2213, and its screen measures 6.6" diagonally. The smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 750G SoC and will run Android 11 out of the box, which is a bummer since Android 12 has been around for months now and Google has already dropped a couple of developer previews of Android 13.

The Moto G 5G (2022) has a volume rocker on the right-side frame, joined by a power button that doubles as a fingerprint scanner. At the bottom is the USB-C port, flanked by a speaker, microphone, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The source claims that the Moto G 5G (2022) is 9.3mm thick (10.7mm with the camera bump) and is expected to come with 4GB RAM, 128GB storage (expandable up to 512GB), and a 5,000 mAh battery.

The 50MP primary camera on the back will be joined by 8MP and 2MP cameras, with the former likely being an ultrawide unit and the latter a macro/depth unit. However, do note that these specs aren't final or confirmed.
