Moto E6 Plus gets official too with 6.1-inch display, Helio P22 chipset
While the One Zoom may have been Motorola"s main headline-grabber at IFA, the company has also refreshed its most affordable smartphone line. Meet the new Moto E6 Plus.
The device comes with a 6.1-inch 720x1560 19.5:9 IPS touchscreen, and the MediaTek Helio P22 SoC at the helm. This is aided by 2 or 4GB of RAM, and you get 32 or 64GB of expandable storage, depending on the model you choose.
On the rear there"s a 13 MP f/2.0 main camera with 1.12um pixel size, alongside a 2 MP depth sensor and an LED flash. Selfies are handled by an 8 MP f/2.0 snapper with 1.12um pixels that sits pretty inside the u-shaped notch.
The phone has an FM radio, a headphone jack, all the usual connectivity options with the notable omission of NFC, and there"s also a dual-SIM version. The Moto E6 Plus will be offered in two color options: Polished Graphite and Bright Cherry. The construction is all plastic aside from the display glass.
Its dimensions are 155.6 x 73.06 x 8.6 mm and it weighs 149.7g. It runs Android 9 Pie, and has a fingerprint sensor on the back (inside the Motorola logo). The battery capacity is 3,000 mAh, but it charges at a disappointing 5W through a microUSB port.
The Moto E6 Plus is available today in Latin America, and will land in Europe later this month for €139. In the coming months, it will also make it to the Asia Pacific region.
