Meizu 20 series debut with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, 50MP main cams and Flyme 10
Meizu is back on the smartphone scene with twentieth-anniversary releases â the Meizu 20, Meizu 20 Pro and Meizu 20 Infinity. The maker owned by Geely alongside car brands such as Volvo, Smart and Lynk & Co also showcased its latest mobile OS - Flyme 10 alongside the Flyme Auto and the Lynk & Co 08 electric SUV.
Meizu 20 Pro brings a 6.81-inch LTPO OLED screen with 1368 x 3192px resolution and 1-120Hz refresh rate. The Meizu 20 Infinity version boasts a 6.79-inch screen with the same resolution and refresh rate as the standard Pro model but with slimmer 2.48mm borders on all four sides.
Meizu 20 gets a smaller 6.55-inch OLED screen with FHD+ resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. All three phones bring ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanners and 32MP front-facing cameras.
Meizu 20 Pro has three 50MP sensors on the back â behind wide, ultrawide and telephoto lenses. Meizu 20 Infinity has the same 50MP main sensor, but downgrades the ultrawide and telephoto to 12MP sensors. The vanilla Meizu 20 brings a 50MP Samsung GN5 sensor on its main cam, a 16MP ultrawide module and a 5MP auxiliary camera.
All three Meizu 20 phones come with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. The new phones are also launching with Flyme 10 OS which brings a new design language dubbed Alive Design.
Meizu 20 packs a 4,700 mAh battery with 67W fast charging. Meizu 20 Infinity brings a 4,800 mAh cell with 65W wireless charging and 50W wireless while Meizu 20 Pro gets a larger 5,000 mAh cell and supports 80W wired and 50W wireless.
Meizu 20 comes in green, yellow, pink and black colors. It starts at CNY 2,999($436) for the base 12/128GB trim and goes up to CNY 3,799 ($553) for the 12/512GB version.
Meizu 20 Pro comes in black, gold and silver colors. The baseline 12/128 GB version is CNY 3,999 ($582), while the 12/512 GB will go for CNY 4,799 ($698).
Meizu 20 Infinity comes in green, silver and black colors. It is priced at CNY 6,299 ($916) 12/256 and goes up to CNY 8,499 ($1,236) for the top-of-the-line 16GB RAM and 1TB storage model. Open sales for the Meizu 20 series in China start on April 3.
