Letv launches entry-level Y1 Pro in China with Unisoc T310 and 4GB of RAM
Last we covered LeEco on GSMArena was early last year when the company came back to release some TWS wireless earbuds. Following some financial troubles several years ago now, the company hadnât released any smartphones under the LeEco, nor the Letv brands. Thatâs about to change with the Letv Y1 Pro. This device isnât impressive by any means, but could signal a new competitor in the smartphone industry.
The Letv Y1 Pro looks pretty much exactly like an iPhone 13, in terms of design, with a very low price point. Starting at CNY 499 (roughly $75), the Y1 Pro is powered by a low-end Unisoc T310. It has 1 ARM Cortex-A75 core clocked at 2GHz and 3x ARM Cortex-A55 clocked at 1.8GHz and this SoC only supports 4G networks. It is paired with 4GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage and dedicated microSD card slot.
Thereâs a 6.54-inch LCD screen here with an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1560 px. The device weighs around 208g and measures 164.3 x 77.7 x 9.5mm. There is no fingerprint scanner on-board, but face unlock is supported through Android 11. It has a 5MP front-facing camera and on the main dual camera an 8MP sensor is featured with a secondary AI lens â presumably a depth sensor. The 4,000 mAh battery recharges via USB-C.
The Y1 Pro comes in Star White, Midnight Black, and Star Blue models. While the entry-level 4GB + 32GB model starts at CNY 499 (~$75), the 4GB + 128GB variant runs for CNY 699 and the 4GB + 256GB version will run CNY 899. Thatâs about $108 and $135, respectively. The Y1 Pro is only available in the Chinese market, but weâll be watching out to see if the brand ever starts shipping to other markets.
