Lenovo's Legion gaming phone would outperform other SD 865-powered handsets

Lenovo has been teasing its upcoming gaming-centric smartphone for months now and according to reputable leakster Digital Chat station, the handset is due to launch sometime in July. More excitingly he says it will outperform other Snapdragon 865-powered handsets.

The tipster speculates that it would feature a Plus variant of the Snapdragon 865 SoC or that the extra processing will stem from improved cooling. Previous reports had it that Qualcomm won't be releasing a Plus version this year, so odds are it will be the latter.

The Legion gaming phone is rumored to have a alrge heatsink as well as an active cooling fan. Cooling is very important in today's powerhouse smartphones running high-clocked CPUs and GPUs, so we believe it can really make a difference, even in relatively short tests like synthetic benchmarks.

Anyway, the rest of the post is just a reminder of what the phone is already confirmed to have - 90Hz display, 90W fast charging, stereo loudspeakers, linear vibrating motor for advanced haptics, two USB-C ports and temperature control sensors.
