JioPhone Next goes on sale, here’s how to order one
Exactly one week ago, Reliance and Google formally unveiled the JioPhone Next – an entry-level Android device optimized for the Indian market priced at INR 6,499. As of today, the phone is officially on sale and we’ve recapped all the ways you can order JioPhone Next as well as the EMI plans that can help the phone’s cost go as low as INR 1,999 alongside monthly plans.
The first step in getting a JioPhone Next is registering your interest via Reliance’s official website with a valid email and mobile number. You can also use WhatsApp to reserve your JioPhone Next by sending ‘Hi’ to the official JioMart Digital Offers number “7018270182”.
Once registered Reliance will send a one-time password to your number which will be your personal key for getting a JioPhone Next from one of the Reliance stores or having it delivered to your address. Reliance is also offering a limited-time offer of free delivery.
JioPhone Next can be had for just INR 1,999 with monthly installment plans for 18 and 24 months ranging from INR 300 to INR 600 per month and an INR 501 processing fee. The most affordable Always-on plan for INR 300 nets you 5GB of data and 100 minutes of talk time per month.
The XXL plan on the other hand comes out to INR 550 over a 24 month period and brings 2.5GB of data per day and unlimited voice calling.
JioPhone Next brings a 5.45-inch LCD with HD+ resolution, Qualcomm Snapdragon 215 processor with 2GB RAM and 32GB expandable storage. The device which boots Pragati OS - an optimized version of Android. There’s an 8MP front camera and a 13MP rear module. The battery is rated at 3,500 mAh and charging happens via microUSB.
