iQOO 13 might be so good that it makes the iQOO 13 Pro redundant
According to the prolific Chinese leakster who calls himself Digital Chat Station, there may not be an iQOO 13 Pro coming. That's because vivo's sub-brand is currently testing an iQOO 13 prototype that will make a Pro model redundant.
This is said to sport a "2K" flat screen with an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, and it will have IP68 certification for dust and water resistance.
While DCS doesn't give us any other specs, he does say that if this is going to be the iQOO 13 that's expected to launch later this year, then there will definitely be no iQOO 13 Pro, since there will be no need for it, with the 'vanilla' model already being high-end enough.
That's a bold claim of course, but we've seen something similar happen at OnePlus recently, where before there used to be a 'vanilla' flagship and a Pro, lately we only got one. So iQOO could definitely follow in OnePlus' footsteps in this regard.
The iQOO 13 is expected to be among the first batch of devices launching with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC, just like its predecessor was last year.
