Infinix Note 10 unveiled with 90Hz 6.95" FHD screens, Pro model adds 33W charging
They say âgo big or go homeâ and the new Infinix Note 10-series is definitely not going home as the three new models have 6.95â displays - that is the same size as the Note 8 from last year, but this time the displays have 1080p+ resolution, up from 720p+ (which was rather low for this size).
And the displays run at 90 Hz refresh rate (and 180 Hz touch sampling rate) and are backed by faster chipsets. Letâs have a closer look.
Infinix Note 10 Pro and Note 10 Pro NFC
The two phones are essentially identical besides the addition of NFC to the latter. The Note 10 Pro will be available later this month at a price of $260 (this may vary by region).
The Infinix Note 10 Pro is powered by a MediaTek Helio G95 chipset (as is the NFC version). This 12 nm chip has two Cortex-A76 cores (2.05 GHz), six A55 (2.0 GHz) and a Mali-G76 MC4 GPU (900 MHz). To put it another way, you get a slight CPU boost faster (+25%) and more than double the GPU power(+120%) than the Helio G80 inside the Note 8 had to offer.
The 10 Pro duo is equipped with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB storage (UFS 2.2) as standard with an 8/256 GB option. Thereâs a microSD slot as well if you need more. Like other recent Infinix phones these run XOS 7.6, which is based on Android 11.
The phones have 5,000 mAh batteries, which arenât exactly huge, but they are quick to fill up â with the new 33W X-Charge a 0-100% charge takes 50 minutes less than it did on the previous Note model. A quick 5 minute top-up is enough for 2 hours of gaming, according to Infinix.
The camera department has a new hire â a 120º FoV ultra wide camera. It joins the 64MP main camera, which boasts a 1/1.7â sensor (0.8µm pixels, 1.6µm with binning) and 4K video recording (at 30fps, thereâs a 960fps slow-mo mode as well). Also on the rear is a macro cam and a depth sensor.
The front-facing camera has a 16MP sensor and can do face unlock or you could use the side-mounted fingerprint reader.
The phone has a 3.5mm headphone jack and stereo speakers with DTS audio processing. Thereâs an FM radio receiver on board too.
You can find the Infinix Note 10 Pro on the companyâs official site, the Buy Now button will navigate you to a local store.
Infinix Note 10
The Infinix Note 10 shares many features with the Pro duo, but comes at a slightly lower price point of $200. Again, this may vary by region, the phone will be available later this month.
Weâre looking at the same 6.95â display with 90 Hz refresh rate (180Hz touch sampling rate). The LCD promises 1,500:1 contrast ratio and 480 nits of brightness.
A Helio G85 was chosen as the brains of the operation. Its two big CPU cores are older (Cortex-A75 @ 2.0 GHz, joined by six A55) and the GPU is weaker (Mali-G52 MC2 at 1.0 GHz). Itâs a marginally faster version of the G80 found inside the previous Note. The base memory configuration is 4/64 GB, you can go up to 6/128 GB if you want. Thereâs a microSD slot on this one too.
The rear camera underwent some price-cutting measures. It has a 48 MP main sensor (still 1/1.7â though, so the pixels are larger) and the ultra wide module is gone. The main camera can still record 4K video (including the 960 fps slow-mo mode). The selfie camera is the same with a 16 MP sensor, the side-mounted finger reader is on board as well.
Another cutback happened to the battery â it still has 5,000mAh capacity, but now charges at 18W tops. As with the Pro, charging is done over USB-C.
The 3.5mm headphone jack (with FM radio) and stereo speakers with DTS processing remain on board.
