Indian iQOO Neo9 Pro will come with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, not Dimensity 9300
iQOO unveiled the iQOO Neo9 and iQOO Neo9 Pro in China last week, and the brand recently announced it would launch the Pro model in India in February. The Neo9 and Neo9 Pro are similar smartphones, with the Neo9 having the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC at the helm and the Neo9 Pro having the Dimensity 9300 Ultra. However, we have learned that the Indian Neo9 Pro will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip.
This revelation comes from Amazon.in, which set up a promo page for the iQOO Neo9 Pro on its website. The Indian Neo9 Pro coming with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC suggests it will be a rebranded Neo9 for the Indian market, which was expected since the iQOO Neo7 Pro launched last year in India was a rebadged iQOO Neo7 Racing exclusive to China.
If the Indian Neo9 Pro is a rebranded Chinese Neo9, it will come with a 6.78" 144Hz AMOLED screen of 2,800x1,260-pixel resolution, Android 14-based Funtouch OS 14, and up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage.
The smartphone will pack a 5,160 mAh battery with 120W charging and feature three cameras - 50MP primary, 8MP ultrawide, and 16MP selfie.
The Chinese Neo9 Pro is powered by the Dimensity 9300 Ultra and features a 50MP ultrawide camera. It also comes with Bluetooth 5.4 instead of Bluetooth 5.3, which Neo9 does.
If the Chinese Neo9 launches in India as the Neo9 Pro, it remains to be seen whether iQOO will bring the Chinese Neo9 Pro to India. And if it does, what will it be called? iQOO Neo9 Ultra? We'll have to wait to find that.
