Huawei MatePad Pro 13.2 debuts with notched screen, Kirin 9000s and 10,100 mAh battery
Huawei held a product launch event in China earlier today where we got the new Mate 60 RS Ultimate Design edition alongside a new tablet entry dubbed MatePad Pro 13.2. As the name implies this tablet features a sizeable 13.2-inch OLED display with 1920 x 2880px resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. The panel sports a 3:2 aspect ratio and up to 1,000 nits peak brightness.
Thereâs a 16MP front-facing camera housed inside a notch cutout 16MP on the horizontal side. The screen features impressively thin bezels. MatePad Pro 13.2 houses a total of six speakers and four microphones for optimal voice pickup during calls.
The slate is just 5.5mm thick and weighs 580 grams. The back features a brocade fiber design and a circular camera island with a 13MP main cam and 8MP ultrawide sensor.
Huawei did not list the chipset used on the MatePad Pro 13.2 though speculations suggest it is equipped with the same Kirin 9000s chipset as used in the Mate 60 series. The tablet comes in a Wi-Fi-only trim with 12/16GB RAM and 256/512/1TB storage.
The software side is covered by HarmonyOS 4 and the tablet also gets a 10,100 battery with 88W wired fast charging. Huawei is bringing a new third-generation M-Pencil stylus as well as a new Huawei Smart Magnetic keyboard both of which are sold separately.
MatePad Pro 13.2 comes in green, black and white colors. Pricing in China starts at CNY 5,199 ($711) for the 12/256GB trim and goes up to CNY 6,999 ($957) for the 16GB /1TB version.
