Huawei Ascend G330 leaks, said to come with ICS on board
It"s been a while since we last saw a new handset by Huawei. The manufacturer has made a name for itself on may markets with well-positioned mid-range smartphones with affordable price tags.
As it seems, the case with the Huawei Ascend G330 is pretty much the same. It"s a mid-range droid that will, reportedly, bring all the benefits of the Android Ice Cream Sandwich platform.
As on many other occasions, the Chinese version of the US FCC has leaked the unannounced smartphone. The Chinese market will see the G330 in variants with HSPA (China Unicom) and CDMA (China Telecom) connectivity. In the rest of the world, the G330 will probably be available as a 3G HSPA device.
The Huawei Ascend G330 will have a 4-inch screen with a resolution of 480x800 pixels. There"s a 5MP camera, a front-facing snapper too, and 4 gigs worth of in-built storage. The whole thing would run on Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8225 chipset, sporting a 1GHz dual-core Cortex-A5 CPU and 512MB of RAM. Local connectivity will be entrusted to Bluetooth 2.1 and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n.
Most importantly however, the whole package will have of Android Ice Cream Sandwich as its OS of choice.
The Ascend G330 should measure 122.5 x 62.6 x 11.2mm and weigh 140 g. These numbers are far from impressive but we are yet to hear about the pricing of the smartphones. We guess it would be reasonable as usual.
