HTC U23 Pro in for review
The HTC U23 Pro marked the return of the once leading maker to the smartphone race proper and now it landed at our office for a review. But before we put it through its paces, let's take a quick look at what it offers.
The HTC U23 Pro comes in a white-colored retail package, including a USB-C cable, some paperwork, and a SIM card ejector tool. It doesn't come with a charger, so you'll have to purchase it separately if you don't have one already.
The HTC U23 Pro is built around a 6.7" 120Hz FullHD+ OLED display with Gorilla Glass Victus protection and a punch hole in the center for the 32MP selfie camera. There's no fingerprint scanner underneath, instead it's embedded in the power button on the phone's right-side frame.
Moving on to the back, we have a rectangular camera island housing the dual-LED flash and four cameras - 108MP primary (with OIS), 8MP ultrawide, 5MP macro, and 2MP depth. Under the hood, the U23 Pro has the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chip with 8GB or 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. There's a microSD card slot for storage expansion.
On the software front, the HTC U23 Pro boots Android 13 and has the VIVERSE app pre-installed. It's also compatible with the VIVE XR Elite mixed reality headset, which is sold separately.
The rest of the HTC U23 Pro's highlights include an IP67 rating, 5G support, NFC, Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The smartphone's fueled by a 4,600 mAh battery with 30W wired and 15W wireless charging support. You can also use the HTC U23 Pro to charge other devices wirelessly since it supports reverse wired and wireless charging.
We'll start the review process soon, so stick around to know if the HTC U23 Pro is worth spending your money on.
