Honor Magic6 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, have its own assistant
Honor used the ongoing Snapdragon Summit 2023 to announce that the upcoming Magic6 series will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
The Magic6 will leverage the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3's built-in generative AI language models to power a new personal assistant called YOYO. The large language model will be able to use up to 7 billion parameters and being on-device, will not need to send any personal data remotely to work. It means you'll be able to prompt the personal assistant to answer questions, create short videos featuring photos and footage stored on your device, and it will be able to give you answers specific to you.
The other innovation is called Magic Capsule - an eye-tracking-based multimodal interaction based on Snapdragon Seamless technology.
Honor didn't give a timeframe for the Magic6 announcement just yet, but we'd expect it to arrive earlier than March, which was when the Magic5 series launched.
