Honor’s 2022 flagships are here - welcome to the Honor Magic4 and Magic4 Pro. The pair share the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset and same 50MP main and ultrawide cameras though the Pro version holds the upper hand in every other category starting with the display.

Magic4 Pro brings a quad-curved 6.81-inch LTPO OLED with 1224 x 2664 px resolution, an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate and a pill-shaped cutout housing a 12MP main cam and 3D depth sensor. Magic4 makes do with a dual-curved 6.81-inch OLED with a 1224 x 2664px resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate and 12MP selfie cam houses in a single punch hole cutout. Both panels can crank out up to 1,000 nits and boast a 1920Hz PWM dimming feature.

Both Magic4 phones come with abnormally large camera circles dubbed “Eye of Muse”. You get a 1/1.56-inch 50MP main imager with 2μm pixel size next to a 1/2.5-inch 50MP ultrawide sensor for both phones. The telephoto modules differ with the Pro getting a 1/2-inch 64MP periscope lens with 3.5x optical and up to 100x digital zoom.

The vanilla model settles for an 8MP telephoto module with 5x optical and up to 50x digital zoom. The remaining two cutouts on both phones house the ToF and flicker sensors. Honor is also bringing its ultra fusion photography, AI Color and Movie Master with IMAX Enhanced 10bit 4K video recording at 60fps.

Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 sits at the helm of both Honor Magic4 phones and up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. Honor is also bringing its GPU Turbo X graphics acceleration. Honor’s Magic4 Pro has another neat trick up its sleeve - it can charge at up to 100W both wired and wirelessly via Honor’s SuperCharge chargers.

Honor claims a 30 minute wired charge session will fill the phone’s 4,600mAh battery in 30 minutes while a 15-minute wireless charge session will get the phone to 60% battery.

Magic4 is limited to 66W speeds but boasts a slightly larger 4,800mAh cell. Magic4 Pro brings an IP68 rating while the vanilla only gets an IP54. The software front on both phones is covered by Magic UI 6.0 on top of Android 12.

Magic4 Pro comes in Cyan, Gold, White and Black colors come with glass backs while the Orange color has a vegan leather back. The baseline 8GB RAM and 256GB storage version will retail for €1,099. Honor Magic4 starts at €899
