Honor brings Magic6 RSR Porsche Design to the global audience
Honor introduced a Porsche Design version of its Magic6 flagship back in March, and today, the phone is available outside of China. The phone is an absolute behemoth with 24 GB RAM, 1 TB storage, an outstanding 50 MP main camera with up to 15EV dynamic range and faster, more accurate autofocus.
The phone is more than just a Magic6 Pro with a fancy panel on the back. The main camera has an optimized OmniVision H9800 sensor that is 1/1.3â and brings not only PDAF but also LIDAR AF as a nod towards the Porsche Taycan, an electric sports car which you can find more about on our sister website ArenaEV.com.
The 6.8â screen is an LTPO OLED with up to 1,800 nits brightness. However, the panel is a dual-layer Tandem Display, which should extend the screen lifespan by up to 600%, said Honor in a press release during the launch. The technology's goal is to minimize the display brightness degradation to less than 1% after three years of use.
The Honor Magic6 RSR Porsche Design is available in two colors, both of which are inspired by actual Porsche sports cars: Frozen Berry, which is also the hero color of the 2020 Taycan, and Agate Gray, a classic paint job of Porsche 911 race cars.
This whole setup would cost £1,599 in the United Kingdom. It is available starting today on the Honor website, Porsche-Design.com, and will soon reach EU markets as well.
We already have a review of the phone, which you can read here.
