Here's our first look at the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition

Samsung's upcoming bigger and thinner book-style foldable smartphone has been in the news a lot lately, and now we have the first leaked image purportedly showing the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition.

As you can see, the design is very similar overall to that of the Galaxy Z Fold6, understandably. That said, the fact that it's thinner is immediately noticeable.

As you can see, the Fold Special Edition will have a flat frame with ever so slightly rounded corners. The camera island is a bit different from the Fold6's, so it will aid in telling the two devices apart from afar. It seems thicker than the Fold6's, but keep in mind that the Fold Special Edition itself is thinner, so that might be why.

While the back of the device has a brushed metal look, it's likely still glass, just finished to look like that. The power button will double as a fingerprint sensor unsurprisingly, and the volume rocker is above it on the right side as is tradition for Samsung devices.

The Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition will be 4.9mm thick when unfolded and 10.6mm thick when folded. It will have a 200 MP main camera, a 6.5-inch cover display and an 8-inch inner folding screen. Unfortunately, it's rumored to only launch in China and South Korea.
