Gurman: Apple to launch an event-planning service called Confetti
Apple will introduce a new iCloud service designed for events and invitations. This service will differ from Calendar and is set to launch âthis coming week," as reported by Mark Gurman in his latest weekly podcast "On Demand" for Bloomberg.
The service would be called "Confetti" and will be a "new way to invite people to parties, functions, and meetings."
The arrival of the service is tied to the iOS 18.3 launch, which started rolling out last week, in the final days of January. The new invites service was already spotted by 9to5Mac in the OS beta code, and it seems like there will be integrated within the iCloud app, and will have a web version on iCloud.com.
The role of the app is to invite people to events, and the user will be able to see who RSVP'd. It might have a "more fun interface" than the Calendar app, which already has the basic function of inviting someone to an event.
