Google Pixel 9 Pro live hands-on images leak
Google is rumored to launch at least three smartphones in October at its annual hardware unveiling event - the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 Pro XL. Recently we heard that the Pixel Fold 2 has been renamed to Pixel 9 Pro Fold and might join these.
The Pixel 9 Pro has now leaked in hands-on live images, one of which shows it next to an iPhone 15 Pro Max.
If you're confused about the size difference, note that the Pixel 9 Pro XL is said to be the successor of the Pixel 8 Pro in size, while the Pixel 9 Pro should have similar dimensions to the vanilla Pixel 9, just with added Pro features like the periscope telephoto rear camera you can see in these pictures.
Thus, the Pixel 9 Pro will also be similar in size to the iPhone 15 Pro. The Pixel 9 Pro comes with the Tensor G4 chipset and 16GB of RAM made by Micron, 4GB more than the Pixel 8 Pro. The UFS storage on the Pixel 9 Pro is made by Samsung. The Pixel 9 series is expected to also sport Samsung's Exynos Modem 5400 with support for satellite connectivity.
As previously rumored, the Pixel 9 Pro will have a redesigned camera bump that isn't a 'visor' style anymore, as it doesn't go all the way to the edges. It's an oval shape this time around, and at the end where the LED flash is, the metal part is bigger. The Pixel 9 Pro also has a flat polished frame.
