Google Pixel 6 and 6 Pro spotted on display at NYC Google Store
With Apple's launch event making many headlines in tech news this week, other companies have tried to drum up noise to take attention away from the new iPhone lineup. Google's latest move involves both the Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, which have been put on display at Google's Store front in New York City. The Google Store is located in NYC on 9th Avenue between West 15th and 16th Streets directly across from Chelsea Market.
Images of each of the devices were posted to Reddit by different users. Both u/ThisGuyRightHer3 and u/rami1190 posted images of the Pixel 6 Pro and Pixel 6, respectively.
Google's strategy for marketing the Google Pixel 6 has been interesting. It first released images of the Pixel 6 duo's designs and details about its Tensor chipsets back in the beginning of August. It also revealed that Google was finally going to update the camera systems of its Pixel phones, including a dedicated telephoto camera on the Pro model.
Google has not yet confirmed an announcement date for the Google Pixel 6 and 6 Pro, though there's strong evidence it may happen on October 19. A more recent report suggests that the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro may bring back Google's Active Edge feature, which let you squeeze the sides of the phone to activate a Google Assistant command.
In the meantime, another rumor surfaced that a folding Pixel phone from Google will be supposedly launching in Q4 of this year.
