Google Pixel 4 XL renders show a classic top bezel, no notch or punch hole
Google posted an image of the back of the Pixel 4, but the front is still largely unknown. The reliable @OnLeaks has posted 3D renders of the Pixel 4 XL, which show that the oversized notch is gone.
No notch, no punch hole, no pop-up, just a regular top bezel with a dual selfie camera, earpiece and sensors. Even if you’re not sold on the design of the back, the front is bound to have fans.
By the way, @OnLeaks and PriceBaba published renders of the smaller Pixel 4 a month ago. It’s the same design, except smaller.
The XL model will have a 6.25” display (with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio). The absence of a fingerprint reader hints at an in-display module. The phone will measure 160.4 x 75.2 x 8.2mm, going up to 9.3mm at the camera hump. The non-XL model should have a 5.6-5.8" screen and measure 147.0 x 68.9 x 8.2mm.
The new Google Pixel 4 phones should sport a 16MP telephoto camera as part of their triple cameras. In addition to it and the main shooter, there should be a 3D ToF sensor (rather than an ultra wide-angle camera). The dual selfie cam seems to have a 3D sensor as well for a more secure face unlock.
The rest on the Pixel 4 XL design is as on its predecessor – stereo speaker grilles, USB-C port on the bottom, no 3.5mm jack. The phone will, of course, upgrade to the latest Snapdragon 855 chipset and 6GB of RAM. It’s expected to be unveiled this October.
