Garmin-Asus announce a new GPS phone
The duo Garmin-Asus seems to be working out quite well for both companies as they announce a new GPS smartphone under the nuvifone brand - the M20. It"s not that the previous nuvifone G60 is ready, but still it"s nice they think years ahead again.
The Garmin-Asus nuvifone M20 is the new baby born as a result of the newly announced partnership.
The nuvifone M20 sports 2.8 VGA touch display, 3 megapixel autofocus snapper, Bluetooth, GPS and Wi-Fi connectivity. The smartphone runs the latest Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional with preinstalled Garmin navigation software and location-based services. There will also be 4 or 8 gigs of storage memory on board.
The nuvifone M20 has also tri-band HSDPA support and promises a desktop-like web browser (not really sure what that, cough... Opera, means). The available color options are black, red, yellow or blue.
More information about pricing and availability will be announced at the end of this spring and judging on the nuvifone G60 development perhaps we"ll see a working M20 around this time next year.
