Fairphone TWS bring ANC, IPX4 rating and use recycled materials
Alongside the recently announced Fairphone 4, the Dutch-based company is entering the TWS earphone market with its own offering. Like its phones, Fairphone TWS are made from fair and recycled materials with the earbuds and the charging case encompassing 30% recycled plastics.
The earphones bring hybrid Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) over Bluetooth 5.3 with A2DP, HFP and AVRCP profiles. They are IPX4 splash resistant and utilize 10mm drivers with each bud housing two microphones. There are touch controls and in-ear detection too.
Each earbud holds a 45 mAh charge while the case adds another 500 mAh to the table. Fairphone is not providing an actual endurance in terms of hours though. Charging is handled via USB-C though like with Fairphone 4, you do not get a bundled charger and will need to provide your own.
Fairphone TWS come in a single black color and retail for â¬99.95. You can pre-order them on Fairphoneâs site and shipments are expected to start on November 1.
