Dimensity 9000-powered vivo X80 phone tops AnTuTu, Geekbench charts
A couple of impressive benchmark scorecards surfaced today belonging to an upcoming vivo phone. Codenamed V2186A it's a member of the vivo X80 and is powered by the Dimensity 9000 chipset by MediaTek. If we go by the X70 lineup where the X70 Pro was powered by the Dimensity 1200 SoC, we are likely looking at the vivo X80 Pro's performance preview.
The overall AnTuTu score of the handset is 1,072,221 and that's really high. For reference it's higher than what we got on the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra's Exynos 2200 SoC, which scored 968,359. Here's how the AnTuTu 9 score compares to those of last year's Dimensity 1200 and this year's Exynos 2200.
We also compared it to a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1-powered phone we have at the office and the Dimensity 9000 is holding its ground impressively well.

The Geekbench 5 CPU benchmark yielded just as impressive results. The 1,248 single-core score and the 4,191 multi-core results are well above the Exynos 2200's performance.

In addition to its impressive performance the AnTuTu listing reveals a 120Hz display and Android 12 OS. 12GB of RAM were confirmed by both benchmarks, while storage will be 512GB in at least one of the versions.
