Deals: the Samsung Galaxy S24, S24+ and S24 Ultra are $220 off

Right now the Galaxy S24 trio is $220 off, this includes the various memory options that each model has. Let’s take a closer look.

The Galaxy S24 Ultra has the best camera in the Samsung stable and it has native support for the S Pen, which is included in some AI features and more are to come with new versions of One UI.

The Samsung Galaxy S24+ doesn’t have the camera of the Ultra, but it does finally have a QHD+ display and 12GB of RAM, which helps separate it from the small S24. Both larger models also have UWB support, which means they work better with smart trackers.

The small Samsung Galaxy S24 is the cheapest of the bunch, which means that it still starts with 8GB of RAM and 128GB storage. We’d go with 256GB since Samsung will support these phones for 7 years and 128GB is going to be pretty tight in 2031.

After oh-so-many leaks, Google will finally launch the Pixel 9-series, which means that most of the 8-series is getting retired. Except for the Google Pixel 8a, which is not being replaced for a while yet. It has a 6.1” 120Hz FHD+ OLED display (GG3) and a Tensor G3 and (like the pricier Galaxys) it will be supported for 7 years.

The Samsung Galaxy A35 will only get 4 OS updates and 5 years of security patches – not as good as the Pixel, but much better than a typical mid-ranger. This one has a larger 6.6” display, but uses the slower Exynos 1380 chipset. On the plus side, it has expandable storage. The 5,000mAh battery lasts longer than the Pixel 8a (12:26h vs. 11:25h Active use score) and only supports wired charging (at 25W). The 8a is no speed demon, but it does offer both wired (18W) and wireless (7.5W).
