Caviar customizes Apple's FineWoven cases for iPhones with Hermes leather, cost over $2k
Apple unveiled the iPhone 15 lineup a few months ago at its Wonderlust event, where it also introduced its FineWoven cases for the iPhones as it decided to stop offering leather accessories as a part of its environmental efforts. The FineWoven cases received mixed reactions, as some missed the touch-and-feel of genuine leather, while some didn't find them durable enough. To address this, Dubai-based Caviar, known for its custom luxury class devices, upgraded Apple's FineWoven cases by replacing them with genuine Hermes leather.
Caviar says its craftsmen replaced the fabric covering Apple's FineWoven cases with genuine Hermes leather (while preserving MagSafe functionality), which is also used in crafting Hermes' Birkin handbags. The upgraded cases come in three colors - Fine Orange, Fine Blue, and Fine Brown.
The Fine Orange case is covered with Hermes Epsom leather, while the Fine Blue and Fine Brown cases are covered with Hermes Togo leather. They all feature Caviar's relief crown, made of jewelry alloy and coated with 24-karat gold.
The FineWoven cases customized by Caviar are sold for iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Pro Max, and iPhone 15 Pro Max through Caviar's website for $2,060 (â¬1,865/INR171,490), $2,130 (â¬1,925/INR177,320), and $2,200 (â¬1,990/INR183,150), respectively. They are also available for the iPhone 15 Pro at $2,130 (â¬1,925/INR177,320).
