AT&T announces LG G6 launch details, Verizon confirms previously leaked info

Earlier today T-Mobile shared launch details for the much anticipated LG G6, and now it's time for both AT&T and Verizon to do the same. In the case of the carrier nicknamed Big Red, the official info basically confirms what's been leaked mere hours ago.

AT&T is starting pre-orders for the G6 tomorrow. The phone will become available on April 7, just like at T-Mobile. It will cost you $24 per month for 30 months or $30 per month for 24 months using the carrier's Next installment program. In both cases, that adds up to a full retail price of $720.

That's $70 more than what T-Mobile will charge you for the G6, but there is a very important perk here if you don't mind adding a second new line (also on AT&T Next), namely that you can get a second G6 for free after bill credits. So depending on your needs, AT&T's proposition might be better or worse for you than T-Mobile's.

Like every other retailer and carrier officially selling the G6 in the US, AT&T is also mentioning the free Google Home offer that LG has set up. You'll be able to redeem this online if you buy the phone until April 30. Additionally, when you buy a G6 you can also grab an LG Watch Sport for $49.99 on a two-year contract.

If you switch to AT&T and trade-in a smartphone you're eligible to receive up to $650 in bill credits when you buy a G6 on AT&T Next. And if you choose the carrier's Unlimited Plus wireless plan you get a $25 monthly credit towards any of its video services - DIRECTV, DIRECTV Now, or U-verse TV.

Moving over to Verizon, as revealed before the G6 will cost you $672 all-in, or $28 per month for two years if you pick an installment plan. Aside from the free Google Home, Big Red is also offering a free 43-inch LG Smart TV for those who add a line and use the device payment plan along with the new Verizon Unlimited contract. Like AT&T, Verizon also offers up to $650 in bill credits for switchers.

Here's the interesting part. While it's going to start taking pre-orders tomorrow like the other carriers, Verizon will actually be the first to have the G6 in stores - on March 30.
