Asus ROG Phone II goes global for €899
Asus revealed its latest mobile gaming masterpiece called ROG Phone II back in July. Today the company took the stage at IFA 2019 in Berlin and announced that the phone is going global.
It will be offered with 12 GB RAM and 512 GB storage, but its price is going to be 899 (thats the equivalent of $990).
The new ROG Phone II is a product to be enthusiastic about. It is officially the first smartphone with Snapdragon 855+ chipset and comes with 120 Hz 10-bit HDR screen.
Asus equipped the device with a 6.59 AMOLED, now comes with an under-display fingerprint scanner, and according to the company, it exceeds the bounds of the DCI-P3 color space (108%) and boasts perfect color accuracy.
The screen is accompanied by two DTS:X Ultra speakers with larger chambers for a mightier sound, while the back keeps the original design of the first ROG Phone. This device sports a 48 MP main camera and a 13 MP wide-angle secondary shooter (a setup also seen in the Zenfone 6).
The device can be pre-ordered on Asus website starting today, but shipping and availability with third-party retailers is beginning on September 20.
There is also the ROG Phone II Ultimate Edition with double the storage (that's a total of 1 TB) and Cat.20 capabilities of the chipset. It will be sold right in time for the holiday season at 1,199.
