Apple's foldable iPhone will reportedly support a stylus
The first rumors that Apple is developing a foldable iPhone cropped up in late 2017. More recent reports suggest that the device will finally be ready for market next year, but a new report from analytic firm EqualOcean pushes that back to 2023.
Interestingly, the report also claims that the foldable iPhone will support a stylus. Itâs not clear if that means the current Apple Pencil that is used by select iPads (and that iPhones are occasionally rumored to support) or if it will be a new design.
When unfolded, the screen will measure between 7.3 and 7.6 inches. That will be with a very tall aspect ratio as the foldable iPhone is said to have a clamshell form factor â a vertical folder like the Galaxy Z Flip (which has a 6.7â 22:9 screen).
There has been no official confirmation from Apple that it is indeed developing a folding phone. The company prefers to work in secret and is also allegedly involved in building AR goggles and a self-driving car.
