In addition to the expanded lineup of devices, Apple is now making the System Configuration process on iPhone repairs free for Self Service Repair users and members of the Apple repair program. The tool is used to verify displays, batteries, Touch ID or Face ID and camera repairs on iPhones with genuine Apple parts and previously required users to contact Apple support to complete the process. Users will need to place their repaired devices in Diagnostic mode and then follow the screen prompts to complete their System Configuration.
