Amazfit GTR 4 Limited Edition announced with stainless steel frame
Amazfit launched the GTR 4 last September, and today, the company followed it up with a special edition version, dubbed Amazfit GTR 4 Limited Edition.
The Amazfit GTR 4 Limited Edition shares most of the specs and features with the standard model but comes with a different design. The GTR 4 Limited Edition packs a 1.43" curved AMOLED screen and features an elegant crown made of 316L stainless steel with Amazfit written on it. The crown is joined by a button which, too, looks different from its regular model counterpart.
Like the crown, the Amazfit GTR 4 Limited Edition's middle frame is also made of stainless steel, while the back panel is made of glass-ceramic material. The standard GTR 4, on the other hand, came with an aluminum alloy frame and high-gloss sprayed PC rear panel.
Another design difference between the regular and limited edition GTR 4 is that the former comes with Fluoroelastomer, Liquid Silicone, and Leather Nylon straps, while the latter only comes with the Fluoroelastomer straps, which look different from the regular GTR 4's Fluoroelastomer straps. However, both are 22mm wide, come with a classic pin buckle, and have an adjustable width of 150-215mm.
The GTR 4 Limited Edition is also thicker (11.2mm vs. 10.6mm) and heavier (49g vs. 34g) than the standard model and supports wireless magnetic charging. And interestingly enough, while both versions pack a 475 mAh battery - advertised to take about two hours for a full charge and last up to 14 days in a typical usage scenario - it's the GTR 4 Limited Edition that can offer more endurance in battery saver mode (28 days vs. 24 days), heavy usage scenario (8 days vs. 7 days), accuracy GPS mode (28 hours vs. 25 hours), and power saving GPS mode (55 hours vs. 52 hours).
The regular version offers higher endurance than the limited edition in balanced GPS mode (44 hours vs. 42 hours). However, both models are advertised to last up to 50 days in clock mode.
The Amazfit GTR 4 Limited Edition can also connect to heart rate belts for multi-dimensional fitness data tracking. You can read our Amazfit GTR 4 announcement coverage to learn more about the Limited Edition since the differences between the two versions are primarily cosmetic.
The Amazfit GTR 4 Limited Edition comes in a single Infinite Black color and costs $249.99 ($50 more than the regular model). It's available in the US through Amazfit's official website and Amazon and will be sold through AliExpress in the future, but the prices may vary depending on the location.
