3nm Exynos W1000 to power the Galaxy Watch7
The Galaxy Watch is set for a major jump in performance and efficiency, courtesy of a new Exynos W1000 chipset, per a report from Korea.
The SoC is reportedly built on Samsung"s second-gen 3nm node - the SF3 - and represents a big step forward over the 5nm W930 in the current generation Galaxy Watch5.
Moving past Samsung"s smartwatch line and looking at Apple - the Exynos W1000 is a big step up from the 5nm S9 processor.
Reports strongly suggest that Samsung is readying three new smartwatch models. Whether those are an affordable (FE if you will), a regular, and a Pro, isn"t clear but is the most logical. Expect blood sugar monitoring, 32GB of storage, and a bigger-battery Pro.
Samsung is expected to announce the new Galaxy Watch7 models alongside the new Galaxy Z series around July 10, just in time to promote the new models at the 2024 Summer Olympics, which tip off on July 26.
