vivo teases X200 Pro's 200MP periscope, shares camera samples
vivo VP Jia Jingdong took to Weibo in a lengthy post teasing the upcoming vivo X200 series and sharing images of the X200 Pro and X200 Pro mini, as well as camera samples by both and the X200.
The vivo X200 Pro and X200 Pro mini are shown in their full color pallettes, sporting a new for vivo, flat design. vivo calls this a "full-depth micro-quadruple design".
Jingdong"s post omits the regular X200 but we expect it to share the same design language.
The entire series will be powered by the Dimensity 9400 chipset and will support a large language model capable of reaching 3 billion operations and handling daily AI tasks.
The VP continued to share that the X200 series will bring a big improvement in battery technology. vivo"s semi-solid battery technology has reportedly been improved and the X200 series battery has the highest energy density in the industry"s history.
Onto the cameras. The X200 Pro and X200 Pro mini will use the 1/1.28" LYT-818 sensor co-developed with Sony and the V3+ imaging chip used in the X100 Ultra.
The X200 Pro will also adopt the X100 Ultra"s impressive 200MP 85mm f/2.67 periscope zoom, while the X200 Pro mini will get a 70mm f/2.57 periscope camera.
The X200 series will offer slow motion to the tune of 4K at 120fps, and something called 4K backlit movie portrait video, which the company VP says is the industry"s strongest exposure control technology - likely meaning it can expose for people in very strong backlight.

The X200 Pro phones will offer video recording in 10-bit vivo log for superior color grading in post-production, and a new 135mm portrait mode lens to go along with the rest of the "humanistic focal lengths" of 24mm, 35mm, 50mm, 85mm, and 100mm.
