Meizu 21 Note announced with SD 8 Gen 2 and Flyme AIOS

Earlier this year Meizu confirmed it is exiting the smartphone market and going all in on AI but that hasn’t stopped it from launching its Meizu 21 series phones and the latest is the Meizu 21 Note.

Meizu 21 Note is built around a 6.78-inch 8T LTPO OLED with FHD+ resolution, a 1-144Hz refresh rate and 5,000 nits peak brightness. You also get a 16MP front-facing camera and an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner embedded in the display.

The back houses a 50 MP main cam with a 1/1.56" sensor and f/1.7 aperture and OIS alongside a 13MP ultrawide module.

Meizu 21 Note boots Flyme AIOS which brings generative AI capabilities as well as call screening, real-time translation and appointment bookings. Meizu’s AI also brings circle to search, document summaries and can transcribe voice notes to text.

The phone also supports Flyme Link which pairs seamlessly with cars from the Geely fleet such as Polestar, Zeekr, and Lynk & Co. Meizu 21 Note packs a 5,500 mAh battery with 65W wired charging and is IP65 rated for water and dust resistance.

Meizu 21 Note comes in black and white colors. The 16/256GB version retails for CNY 2,599 ($360) while the version with 512GB storage is CNY 2,799 ($388). Open sales in China are scheduled to begin on May 20.
