JioPhone Next specs leak, Snapdragon 215, Android 11 (Go Edition) and 13MP camera
Two months ago, India’s Reliance conglomerate announced the JioPhone Next - an entry-level smartphone built in collaboration with Google. It’s expected to launch on September 10 and it promises to become the most affordable smartphone in India once it goes on sale. We haven’t heard much about the device since its announcement until now as XDA‘s Mishaal Rahman revealed the Next’s key specs via Twitter.
The phone will come with a 1440x720 resolution display and Qualcomm’s entry-level 215 chipset which also powers Nokia 1.4. RAM comes in at 2GB while the software department is covered by Android 11 (Go Edition). Rahman also confirmed the phone comes with Google’s Camera Go and Duo Go apps pre-installed and it will be interesting to see if Google contributed other exclusive optimizations for the Next. The front-facing camera comes in at 8MP while the single rear shooter features a 13MP OmniVision OV13B10 sensor.
