Honor to introduce V Purse in China on September 19
Honor introduced the V Purse concept in Berlin during IFA two weeks ago. There were questions if outward-folding smartphone that can be worn as a purse will ever make it to store shelves but now we have the answer.
Yang Yang, a popular Chinese actor, is seen holding the phone and confirming its announcement date. He invited the audience to witness a fashion show on September 19 in Shanghai, where the V Purse will be introduced in front of Honor"s home crowd.
The invitation and all related social media posts talk about a show or a presentation – there is no word on any of its specifications, but then that"s probably understandable seeing the target audience of this one. There are eight days until the event in which we will undoubtedly hear more about the V Purse as it prepares to make the switch from a concept to a commercial smartphone.
We already got to see (but not touch) the Honor V Purse in Berlin. The concept does look like the Huawei Mate Xs 2 and its wraparound display, cameras and a click-to-unfold button. We also saw were a trendy case that made the device look even more like a clutch.
Back then Honor spoke about the possibility of launching the phone in China before the end of the year, but it appears it might be going ahead of schedule. An international launch seems unlikely for this one though.
