Exclusive: First look at the Amazfit GTR 4 and GTS 4
We’ve got another scoop on a pair of upcoming Amazfit smartwatches – this time it’s the Amazfit GTR 4 and GTS 4. These will be Amazfit’s premium options succeeding last year’s GTR 3 and GTS 3. The two watches will have nearly identical internals with the major difference coming in the physical appearance.
Amazfit GTR 4 will bring a round 1.43-inch AMOLED touchscreen with a 466 x 466 px resolution and Always-on Display (AoD) functionality. It will feature an aluminum alloy casing in silver and black colors with a side button and crown element on the right side for tactile control. It will be available with leather, silicone or nylon watch straps.

GTS 4 gets an even larger 1.75-inch AMOLED with 390 x 450 px resolution but in a rectangular form factor. It also features an aluminum casing and crown element on the side. GTS 4 will be just 9.9mm thick and weigh 27 grams without the strap. It will be available in black, rose gold, and brown casings with either silicone or nylon watch straps.
Amazfit will offer over 200 watch faces including matching main and AoD options as well as 30 animated versions. GTR 4 and GTS 4 will be able to track over 150 sports modes with automatic recognition, sports guidance and workout analysis. There’s also dual-band GPS with support for all five global positioning systems.

Both watches will be equipped with a speaker and microphone with support for Bluetooth calling and independent music playback. Amazfit is also adding its new 4PD BioTracker 4.0 PPG optical sensor which should offer more accurate all-day measurements for heart rate, blood oxygen and stress levels.
The software side will be covered by the Zepp OS 2.0 interface. Users in some regions will also be treated to built-in Amazon Alexa. Both watches will come pre-loaded with a bunch of first-party Amzfit apps but will also support an enriched Mini App ecosystem with apps from the likes of GoPro and Home Connect as well as a few mini-games.
Amazfit GTR 4 boasts a 475 mAh battery rated at 12-days of normal usage while GTS 4 gets a 300 mAh cell which should get you 7 days between charges.
