Apple discounts iPhone 13 and 13 mini, iPhone 12 too (but 12 mini is discontinued)
The iPhone 14 generation is here and with it came the end of Apple’s mini period. While that is a loss, at least the rumors of a price hike proved only true outside the US. However, that does mean that the cheapest new mainline iPhone now starts at $800 (same as the iPhone 13, but the 13 mini was $700).
If that’s too much for you or if you can’t go up to a 6.1” phone, we have some good news – older models are still available and they are cheaper to boot. We should note that as is Apple’s usual practice, only the vanilla iPhone 13 (and older) models are available, so you can’t buy a new 13 Pro from Apple any longer.
But you can get a 13 mini and at a lower price too. The iPhone SE (2022) maintains its price at $430, so we’re not including it here. Also, the iPhone 11 series is gone.
Long story short, the discounts are decent in some places (e.g. $100 in the US), smaller elsewhere or nonexistent – we’re not seeing any discounts in the EU, if anything, the phones got pricier in Poland. The prices of the new models are much higher in Europe though, so that"s probably why.

We won’t do a detailed old vs. new price comparison of the iPhone 12 series and it’s no longer really a series either – only the iPhone 12 remains available on Apple.com (the 12 mini is gone). The iPhone 12 (64GB) now starts at $600, down from its previous discounted price of $700.
With some exceptions, a 64GB iPhone 12 now costs the same as a 128GB iPhone 13 mini. It’s cheaper than the 128GB iPhone 13, but whether that is a wise cost saving is up to you to decide.
